BIS mark:

Do not forget to check the BIS mark on the plywood according to the grade.


Thickness:

Ensure that the thickness of the plywood is at least 19mm: 25 mm as it is required for making sofas and chairs. Whereas, 15mm is ideal for shelves, cupboards and storage.


Hardwood trees:

Only select hard plywood that is made from hardwood trees. As it is ideal for making furniture.

The look that furniture made out of plywood, provides is similar to that of solid wood.

Make sure before buying that the plywood is well-laminated. It should have a coat of an adhesive and the edges need to be glued together tightly in order to prevent moisture or termites from entering it.
